Bo-Waiian (Moana Party)

WELL......our girls are a tad OBSESSED with Moana and when they asked for a Moana Party we of course had to put our own TEAK & LACE twist on it. Bringing a more Bohemian Island sort of vibe to the party. Yes my crafty husband and the handsome devil that makes all our furniture came up with the term "Bo-Waiian".

We also had the pleasure of working with Innis Casey Photography for the first time!

DESSERT TABLE

I wanted a softer Bohemian Island vibe with a bit of a modern twist for this one...since Im a sucker for mixing Mid Century Modern with anything we made a NEW line of Gold Pin Leg Tables for this. Macramama made the most beautiful macrame that softened our look and brought the whole thing together.

The Cookie Crafter Amy hand painted these beautiful tropical pink cakes that also had gold leaf. She also made the cutest pineapple cookies.

CUPCAKES

Yep...I went to Pavillions again and prettied them up using Pineapple Toppers by Seventh & J. They really are the best tasting least expensive option!

RENTALS

We used our a mix of TEAK & LACE Marble & Wood Cake stands and Wood Slices. We also created our NEW Tropical Prop Package and Adam made our NEW Gold Pin Leg Dessert Table

TABLE

I really love the kids tables to have more of an adult feel and I wanted to mix some modern elements into the tropical bohemian feel.

We had the kids names printed and put them on the table as their "place card".

For their activity the kiddos decorated shells to "make it shiny" as the crab in Moana would say!

SWEETS!!!

It's not a great party without an AMAZING sweets display!! Adam made a donut attachment for our TEAK & LACE Market Stands and the kids were a TAD excited about the Dunkin Donuts!

We also had the pleasure of working with TINY GALA who makes these FABULOUS custom name pinatas! Honestly the BEST I've ever seen!

There is also an amazing new patisserie in town called Artelice LA that makes the most beautiful macaroons and pastries.

ENTERTAINMENT

Well we didn't do a lot in terms of Moana specific decor so we had to have a surprise visit from MOANA! Emmie's face was priceless when she walked in and I think it just might have been the highlight of her year. SEND IN THE CLOWNS has been an amazing long term client of ours and we were so excited to finally get to work with them on entertainment! Moana even brought birthday cards and activities (also a great sport when Em wanted to take her to her room to find her matching Moana wig!). Awesome Face Painter also...Send In The Clowns
